Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.
Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it. -- Goodreads
Man is the title a mouthful! From now on I will be referring to The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight as "the book".
The book has a totally cute cover. I know your not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but I unfortunately, am guilty of this crime. I try not to let it influence me, but ultimately it does. I found this cover describes the book pretty well, and I love the font. To say the least, the cover made me want to read the book.
I found Hadley to be a pretty like able character. I may not be her biggest fan, but she was good as far a protagonist's go. I have to throw in the fact that I love her name! I totally understand the anger towards her dad. I mean, who wants their Dad to just pick up and leave for another woman? Not cool!
I found the relationship between Hadley and Oliver to be cute, but it left me wanting more. Yes, I know, the book takes place in a 24 hour time frame. Maybe I was just in need of more oomph? I did like the fact Oliver was British! I adore British men. Their accent is just so swoon- worthy.
Overall, this was a cute love story, but not something to read if you are looking for serious romance. This is just more of a whistle wetter if you know what I mean. It was a good, quick afternoon read.
I will be giving the book 3 stars!

I thought this book was such a cute and fast read. Perfect for a plane ride or a weekend afternoon. =) That title is a total mouthful! It takes, like, forever to say! And I agree about the cover, I also liked it. I'm also totally guilty of judging books by their covers! I do it all the time! ;) Great review, McKenna!
