Review Policy

REVIEW POLICY

I love offers from authors, publishers and publicists to read and review a YA book. I am also more than willing to join a blog tour, host a guest post/ interview or have a giveaway. I am willing to receive a Galley, ARC, or finished copy in both paper and digital form. I own a Kindle, so any PDF or mobi format will work. I am also happy to review books in audio format. At this time I am only willing to accept YA books for consideration to review on this blog. This includes-

• Dystopia
• Contemporary
• Romance
• Chick-lit
• Science fiction
• Mysteries/ Thrillers
• Horror
• Self-published (Due to recent events, I am only accepting review requests from authors I have worked with in the past. I know many self-pub authors are fantastic, but I am not willing to risk my safety. Thanks for understanding.)

I do not generally read

• Non-fiction
• Fantasy (I will use my discretion if it has dystopian cross appeal or not)
• Paranormal
• Religious type books
• Adult novels (few and far between)

My turn around time for review books is 4-8 weeks. Audio books sent for review may have a longer turn around time due to the amount of time it takes to listen.
*Please note that I am a student and I do have obligations that take precedence to reading. During the school year (August-May) my turn around time may be slower due to workload*

A typical book review will contain

• book name
• author
• publication date
• publisher
• a summary of the book (taken from Goodreads)
• my opinion

 All book reviews will be cross posted on Goodreads. If you have any requests for reviews to be posted elsewhere, I will try to accommodate your request. I strive to be as fair as possible in writing my reviews. I know it takes a great while to write a novel so I will never verbally bash the author, book, or writing style. I will always add in my two cents and give constructive criticism. I do not accept/receive monetary compensation for my reviews. Please keep in mind that if I do not care for the book, or feel the need to give the book 2 stars or less, I reserve the right to not post the review on my blog. If this situation occurs, I will promptly contact the publisher/author and let them know. I may still post the review on Goodreads or Amazon.
